Palestinian administrative detainees boycott Israeli occupation courts for 47th in a row

Ramallah (The Inside Palestine)- Administrative detainees in Israeli occupation jails have been boycotting Israeli courts for the 47th day in a row protesting the systematic policies of administrative detention.

Under the banner “Our decision is freedom,” the Palestinian administrative detainees in Israeli jails continue their efforts in resisting the policy of administrative detention.

Lately, the administrative detainees declared new escalatory steps as part of their struggle against Israeli jailer. These steps include the refusal to meet officers of the Israeli intelligence.

According to Palestinian figures, about 4,850 Palestinians, including 34 women and 160 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.

Among them, close to 540 Palestinians are currently being held under Israel’s illegal policy of administrative detention, under which prisoners can be held for renewable six-month periods without charge or trial.
