Occupied Jerusalem (The Inside Palestine )- Israeli occupation authorities on Tuesday morning demolished a Palestinian two-story building in Jerusalem’s Silwan neighborhood.
Earlier today, local sources reported, the Israeli occupation forces stormed the Ein al-Lawzeh area in the neighborhood of Silwan and cordoned off the area where the two-story building is located.
The Israeli occupation bulldozer then started demolishing the building, owned by the Jerusalemite family of al-Rajabi, where five families of 30 people have been living for eight years.
Right now in the occupied Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan, the Israeli occupation authorities are knocking down a three-storey building for the Palestinian family of Rajabi under the pretext of construction without a permit, displacing nearly 30 Palestinian civilians.
The family said the occupation started carrying out the demolition operation after storming the building and assaulting its residents, without even allowing them to evacuate their furniture and properties.

Using the pretext of building without permits, which rarely, if ever, issued for Palestinians by the occupation authorities, ‘Israel’ demolishes houses on a regular basis to restrict Palestinian expansion in occupied Jerusalem.
At the same time, the Israeli municipality and government built tens of thousands of housing units in illegal settlements in East Jerusalem for Jews with a goal to offset the demographic balance in favor of the Israeli settlers in the occupied city.
Hundreds of Palestinian families are being threatened with forced displacement and house demolitions from their homes by illegal settler groups, fully supported by the Israeli government.
There are nearly 700,000 Israeli settlers living in 256 illegal settlements and outposts scattered across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Israeli settlements are illegal under international law.
The Israeli court had previously rejected many appeals filed by the residents of Jerusalem, and allowed settler organizations to continue its procedures relevant to the immediate expelling of the Palestinian families.
