‘Israel’ sentences Palestinian detainee to 38 months in prison

Nablus (The Inside Palestine)- The Israeli occupation’s military court sentenced on Monday Palestinian detainee, Ameed al-Houtari, from Askar camp east of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank, to 38 months in prison, in addition to a fine of 5,000 shekels.

According to al-Asra Media Office, al-Houtari was detained by the Israeli occupation forces on the 4th of May 2020 after raiding his family’s home and damaging its contents in Askar camp on the pretext of searching it.

They detained a number of family members in one room, questioned them and terrorized the children, before transferring Ameed to the Petah Tikva investigation center.

Al-Asra Office added that the Israeli occupation’s intelligence charged al-Houtari with several alleged charges, most notably “affiliated to a banned organization and planning to carry out acts of resistance”.
