Occupied West Bank (The Inside Palestine)- The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday at dawn detained at least 20 Palestinian citizens, including a Hamas leading member, during multiple raids across the occupied West Bank.
Asra Media Office reported that the Israeli forces Hamas leading member ex-detainee Khaled al-Haj, after raiding on his house in Jenin city.
The office added that the Israeli forces also detained ex-detainee Mahmoud al-Ayya and Mohammed Suqiya from Jenin as well, while detained youths Yusuf and Labeeb Nawasereh from the town of Fahma near Jenin.
In the same context, the IOF forces detained Atta Sharakeh and Mahmoud al-Ghazawi from al-Jalazoun refugee camp, north of Ramallah, whereas detained Husain Theeb, Mumen Dahshan and Hani Dahshan from Deir Abu Mashal village, west of Ramallah.
In occupied Jerusalem, the Israeli forces detained ex-detainee Murshid al-Shawamreh from the city’s town of al-Ram, while detained teen Hamadah al-Sabbah from Teko, east of Bethlehem.
As of the city of Hebron, the Israeli forces detained a number of ex-detainees including Ashraf al-Muhtasib, Mohammed al-Qawasmi, Qasim Abu Husain, Fadi Abu Dawood, Shaher Abu Isha and Nabeel Abdeen, while detained Mohammed Ibrahim from the occupied territories.
Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
According to Palestinian figures, about 4,850 Palestinians, including 34 women and 160 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.
