In killing journalists, ‘Israel’ tops world countries, says countercurrents

West Bank (The Inside Palestine) – Israeli occupation authorities topped the world in killing violating and prosecuting journalists according to a detailed study published by Countercurrents in America.

Israel preceded many other world countries witnessing continuous wars or active drug and criminal gangs, in killing journalists.

The study concluded that the average number of journalists killed per 10 million residents annually, the killing of journalists by the Israeli apartheid regime in occupied Palestine tops the world, and is 73.4 times greater than in the world as a whole.

Israeli occupation has killed 55 Palestinian journalists while on works since 2000, the last was the journalist Ghufran Warasna, who was martyred on the first of this June after being shot by the occupation soldiers near Al-Arroub camp, north of Hebron, and the journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh, who was martyred by the Israeli bullets on the 11th of last May while covering the incursion to Jenin camp.
