Colonial Israeli settlers cut hundreds of Palestinian olive plants in Hebron

Hebron (The Inside Palestine)- Israeli occupation settlers chopped down hundreds of olive and almond trees in Yatta in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron.

Local sources reported that settlers from the illegal settlements of “Ma’on” and “Havat Ma’on” cut down and destroyed nearly 300 olive and almond trees in an area to the east of Yatta.

The settlers also grazed their cattle in a five-dunum Palestinian grove owned by the Shawahin family, damaging crops, the sources explained.

Israeli occupation forces, meanwhile, provided protection for the intruding Israeli settlers, detained Mousa al-Shawahin, 45, and confiscated a number of Palestinian vehicles in Khillet al-Daba hamlet.
