Three Palestinian detainees have been on hunger strike for different periods in Israeli jails.
The Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said in a press statement on Sunday that Palestinian prisoners Oday Shehada, Fadi Ghneimat, and Mohammed Abu al-Rob have been on hunger strike for 27 days, 26 days, and 7 days respectively.
Oday Shehada, 24, and Fadi Ghneimat, 40, both arrested in 2019, started their open-ended hunger strike in protest at their administrative detention without charge or trial.
Meanwhile, prisoner Mohammed Abu al-Rob has been on hunger strike for a week in solidarity with his fellow inmate Kamal Abu Wa’ar, a cancer patient who has tested positive for coronavirus.
Abu al-Rob, who has been detained since 2003, is serving a 30-year sentence in Israeli jails.
