“Israel” violently disperses Kafr Qaddum villagers with tear gas & live ammunition

Dozens of Palestinian citizens were wounded on Friday when Israeli occupation forces (IOF) violently dispersed the weekly demonstration against the settlement in Kafr Qaddum village in the West Bank district of Qalqilya.

Popular resistance activist Murad Shtewi said that the IOF stormed Kafr Qaddum and heavily fired live ammunition, tear gas canisters and rubber-coated metal bullets at the peaceful demonstrators.

A Palestinian youth suffered a rubber-coated metal bullet injury, while dozens others choked on tear gas.

The Palestinian residents of Kafr Qaddum every week stage a mass demonstration to protest the ongoing Israeli settlement expansion on their lands and call for opening the village’s main road that has been closed for 16 years.
