Husam Adnan was sentenced to a lifetime in jail for resisting the Israeli occupation

JENIN, Wednesday, September 25, 2019 (WAFA) – A Palestinian prisoner sentenced to a lifetime in jail completed today 16 years in Israeli jails, said the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).

Husam Adnan Abed, from Jenin’s Kufr Dan village, in the northern occupied West Bank, was sentenced to a lifetime in jail for resisting the Israeli occupation, where he was subjected to various kinds of physical and psychological torture, said director of the PPS Jenin office, Muntaser Samour.

Abed was deprived from family visitations for many years and placed numerously in isolation.

There are currently around 5500 Palestinian prisoners languishing in Israeli jails, in addition to at least 500 others placed under administrative detention without charge or trial.
