West Bank (The Inside Palestine)- A horde of extremist Jewish settlers on Friday set fire to dozens of fig and olive saplings in a Palestinian-owned grove in ar-Ras area of western Salfit, under military protection.
According to local sources, local residents and firefighters were able to put out the flames and save other saplings.
Recently, those settlers set up a new outpost in the area after they deployed mobile homes and built a road.
Meanwhile, dozens of local residents suffered from their exposure to tear gas when Israeli forces attacked them after they rallied for the Friday prayer on swaths of land threatened with annexation in ar-Ras area.
The participants in the rally were trying to reach the area where the new outpost was built, but Israeli soldiers prevented them.
