Occupied Palestine (In Palestine Today)- Pro Palestinian activists called for urgent international intervention to stop the displacement of Palestinians from their homes in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in the occupied Jerusalem.
28 Palestinian families are threatened with displacement from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem, 550 people will soon be homeless.
The international community should put pressure on the Israeli occupation to stop the displacement, settlement and colonial policies in Sheikh Jarrah and all other neighborhoods of occupied Jerusalem, such as Batn el Hawa neighborhood in Silwan
“If they seize our homes in Sheikh Jarrah, they will continue to seize homes in the entire Jerusalem neighborhoods, until no Palestinian house remains in Jerusalem,” said Muna al-Kurd – a Palestinian citizen of Sheikh Jarrah.
Palestinian and Pro-Palestinian activists launch a Twitter campaign on Monday against the Israeli ethnic cleansing in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.
The campaign started at 9:00 pm Jerusalem time used the hashing #SaveSheikhJarrah.
The activists demand the return of homes stolen from Sheikh Jarrah over the years, beginning with the house of the Al-Shanti family, which was seized by settler organizations without a trial after the illegal occupation and annexation of Jerusalem in 1967.
