This announcement has provoked may criticism because an Israeli actress, who is known for her support of massacring native Palestinians during 2014 Israeli offensive on Gaza, is going to play the role of the legendary queen of Egypt!

Gadot made headlines in 2014 with a Facebook post expressing solidarity with Israeli citizens.
“I am sending my love and prayers to my fellow Israeli citizens,” she wrote.
It should be noted that Gal Gadot served in Israel’s occupation amy while it was bombing Lebanon in 2006. She said her “knowledge of weapons” helped her in her acting role in Fast & Furious.
Palestinian activists from Palestine Online, VPalestine, and Palestine Defense Forces have expressed their anger and also highlighted Gadot’s role in supporting terrorism.
It’s a shame that Hollywood always gets a way with its double standards when it comes to the Arabic world. Casting an israeli white actress to play the role of the magnificent Egyptian woman Cleopatra is as annoying as seeing a white actress playing the role of a black character!

There is absolutely no reason for an ISRAELI actress to be used in this when there are plenty of amazing Egyptian actresses 😡

We are also finding out that Gal Gadot proudly served and continues to support the Israeli colonial army notorious for terrorising on a daily basis, Palestinian civilians. She served in Israel's occupation forces while it was bombing Lebanon in 2006. #freePalestine
