Abu Dhabi (QNN)- A top-level US-Israel delegation, headed by Jared Kushner, son-in-law and Senior Adviser to US President Donald Trump, landed at the presidential airport in Abu Dhabi in a precedent on Monday according to Emirates News Agency (WAM).
The flight marked another first when it flew over Saudi Arabian airspace.
Giving a brief speech, Kushner invited other countries to “join the UAE and ‘Israel’ in peace”, referring to the normalization agreement.
“I ask everyone today to join us in celebrating this peace, and to help us expand it throughout the region and the entire world”, he said.
However, Kushner bragged about the US military relationship with the occupation state as well as with Arab dictatorships just like the UAE.
“The military relationship that America has with the United Arab Emirates is very special, just as the relationship that America has with ‘Israel’ is incredibly special,” Kushner said. “And the QME is something that can be respected while also advancing our military relationship with the United Arab Emirates. We’ll be talking more about that over the coming weeks and months.”
During his short visit to the UAE, Kushner also visited a major US airbase in the country.
The Israeli visit to the UAE follows the announcement of the normalization agreement on August 13.
After the announcement of the agreement, the president of United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed issued a decree abolishing the 1972 ‘Israel’ boycott law which incriminates any diplomatic ties and commercial contracts with the occupation state.
The website of the Israel Airports Authority listed for the first time the flight including US officials led by President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner and Israel’s delegation led by national security adviser Meir Ben-Shabbat
Dr- Anwar Gargash, UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs received the delegation at the airport before flying to Abu Dhabi tomorrow.
The Israeli plane carrying the delegation was decorated with the word “peace” in three languages Arabic, English, and Hebrew, while ironically being named after ‘Kiryat Gat’, an illegal settlement built on the remains of two ethnically cleansed Palestinian villages, Iraq al-Manshiyya and al-Faluja.
‘Israel’ has bombed Gaza for ten straight nights directly following its normalization agreement with UAE.
The Palestinian Authority and all Palestinian factions including Hamas and the Islamic Jihad issued official statements criticizing strongly the deal considering it as “stab in the back”.
