Occupied West Bank (The Inside Palestine) – The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Monday at dawn detained at least nine Palestinian citizens during multiple raids across the occupied West Bank towns and cities.
Asra Media Office reported that Israeli forces detained an election candidate named Islam al-Taweel, and detained ex-detainee Imad Abu Awwad from al-Bieh city.
The office added that the Israeli forces detained three citizens from the city of Jericho, identifying them as ex-detainee Nael Abu al-Asal, Shaker Imara, and Omar Abu Janadi.
Moreover, the IOF forces detained citizens Muath Abu Tarbush and Ibrahim Abu Srour from the city of Bethlehem, while detained Mahdi Zakarneh and Rami Yaseen from the city of Jenin.
Israeli occupation forces routinely carry out arrest raids in the West Bank. Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
According to Palestinian figures, about 4,850 Palestinians, including 34 women and 160 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.
