Occupied Jerusalem (The Inside Palestine)- The Israeli police forces escalated attacks against the occupied city of Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque during June 2022, Al-Quds Compass network revealed in its monthly report.
According to the report, 205 Jerusalemites were detained over the past month, including 15 women and 20 children.
Four Jerusalemites were also placed in administrative detention including a lawyer, while 10 ex-prisoners were denied travel.
Meanwhile, the Jerusalemite prisoner, Raed Rayan, continues his open hunger strike for the 86th consecutive day in protest against his administrative detention.
During the reported period, 59 Palestinian homes and facilities were demolished, while more than 4,188 settlers stormed al-Aqsa Mosque.
Over the past month, 22 Jerusalemites were denied entry either into al-Aqsa Mosque, or occupied Jerusalem, or the Old City.
26 Jerusalemites including two children were also subjected to house arrest during the same reported period.
59 Palestinian-owned facilities were also demolished in Occupied Jerusalem during June, including 40 commercial facilities near the Qalandia military checkpoint.
Meanwhile, 820 settlements were approved to be built near the Old City.
Settler raids into al-Aqsa
4,188 Jewish settlers stormed al-Aqsa Mosque during June, where they performed biblical prayers and rituals under military protection.
Meanwhile, stones fell down from a wall inside the Aqsa Mosque compound as a result of cracks caused by ongoing Israeli diggings beneath the Umayyad Palaces area.
