Israeli occupation authorities on Wednesday morning destroyed the homes of two Palestinian families and forced a third family to carry out a self-home demolition in Jerusalem.
Local sources said that the Israeli authorities demolished two Palestinian homes inhabited by the two brothers Samer and Sulaiman al-Qaq and their families in Silwan town south of Jerusalem City.
In the neighboring town of Beit Hanina, the Israeli authorities forced a Palestinian family to demolish their own house over “unlicensed construction”.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center said that the house owners had to demolish their property to avoid heavy fines or jail time.
During the first half of 2020, the Israeli authorities carried out 74 demolition operations in Jerusalem, 30 of which were self-home demolitions.
