Israeli occupation arrests 25 over campaign in protest at the killing, injuries of Palestinians

West Bank (The Inside Palestine)- The Israeli police on Wednesday night arrested several Palestinian citizens who participated in protests in different Arab areas, including Tamra city, in Israel (the 1948 occupied lands).

According to local sources, at least 25 young men were arrested after they participated in rallies held in Arab areas in protest at the killing and injury of Palestinians at the hands of Israeli police.

The protesters also accuse Israeli police of collusion with criminal groups.

Israeli police claimed the detainees threw stones at officers during the protests.

Massive protests started to take place last Tuesday following the funeral of Ahmed Hijazi, who was killed by police gunfire on Monday evening.

Meanwhile, the High Follow-Up Committee for Arab Citizens of Israel called on the Arab masses to participate in a massive popular rally next Saturday afternoon in Tamra city.
